Success! This campaign reached it's funding goal on Sat Sep 13, 2014.

Update #29

A big thank you to all those that contributed. We raised a huge $17,203 and we are truly grateful to all the 196 people who made this possible. Thank you. Please keep watching Banjos journey as this is just the beginning :)

Update #28

Banjo loves his bike trailer because he gets to sit next to Nellie. Banjo is not able to ride a special needs bike yet due to his dystonia so this is super exciting for him. We will keep working hard on his core strength and hopefully in the future we can get him a bike. 15 hours to go on the campaign thank you all once again.

Update #27

21 hours to go on the campaign and we have had some amazingly generous donations that we are so thankful for. I just read an article on the NICU experience and it sums it up quite perfectly at the link below.
It reminds me of how far we have come from when Banjo was born at 24 weeks weighing 662gms.

Update #26

Banjo got given a sensory chewy straw at therapy this week. It has been a huge success and the first time I've ever seen banjo hold onto an object and be able to get it to his mouth. It only last a few seconds each time but the look of achievement on his face is amazing. Banjos head control has improved so much over the past few months thanks to good health, clean diet, fantastic supportive seating system and amazing therapists. 1 day to go, thankyou

Update #25

Don't forget to grab a copy of the Herald Sun today to read the full story, with only 2 days to go on the campaign. Link below

Update #24

Don't forget to grab the Herald Sun Paper tomorrow (Thursday) because Banjo will be featured in it. Only 2 days to go on our campaign so lets keep sharing and liking our link and see how many more people we can reach. Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. This is a photo of Banjo from over 1 year ago with his cousin Milla who he loves spending time with.

Update #23

Banjo got to meet one of his favourite ABC1 characters Jimmy Giggle today. He was so super excited and had a huge smile the whole time we lined up and nearly back flipped out of my arms when he met him. Please keep sharing the campaign as its been extended a few days longer. So lets see if we can get to $15000 by the end of the campaign. Thanks to everyone that has contributed.

Update #22

2 days to go on the campaign so lets see how much further we can spread this link. This photo is of Banjo relaxing in his special tomato chair. It's super comfortable and let's him sit upright and be able to be at face to face level with Nellie. Such a happy boy!

Update #21

3 days to go and Banjo has had a fantastic day. He is growing, healthy and happy. He is trying to say more and more words each day and he loves eating food. Such a huge change from the sick little boy this time last year. Thankyou all for your continued support and I'm sure Banjo is going to keep amazing us all as he continues to improve each and everyday. This was banjo a year ago after a long hospital admission

Update #20

4 days to go on the campaign so lets keep sharing. This is banjo doing suit therapy. He thought he was super clever trying to crawl with the therapist help. This is one of the therapies that has proven to be very beneficial and super expensive. So thank you once again for all your support and let's see if we can get to $14000 before the end of the campaign. Not far to go.

Update #19

6 days to go on the campaign so don't forget to check out banjos video. This is banjo using his PODD book which is how we communicate with him. Hopefully with all the therapy in time he will learn to speak. Lots of little steps and one day hopefully we will get there as we can't wait to hear what he has to say. Thanks again for everyone's support.

Update #18

7 days to go so let's keep sharing the campaign and see how far we can spread It. Don't forget to watch the video of banjos journey. Thanks to everyone that has made a contribution so far, you are all amazing.

Update #17

Update #13

11 days to go on the Campaign so don't forget to watch Banjos video and see lots of photos and videos of Banjos journey so far. This photo is from when he was 2 months old and the first time he was able to have a NICU dummy and he loved it. He was still on the ventilator because he had caught two very nasty infections and had been very unwell, but fought against the odds again. Within days he advanced to CPAP oxygen and an open cot. Such a huge journey he has been on and he is still smiling.

Update #12

Seeing old photos of Banjo from the NICU remind us of how far Banjo has come. This photo shows how tiny he was at 1 month old still on the ventilator fighting for his life. With 12 days to go on the campaign please keep sharing the Campaign, because Banjo has not given up the fight to one day walk with you all. Thank you to all those that have contributed, your support is truly appreciated.

Update #11

Check out Banjo from when he was only 1 in his first seating system. Always with a smile on his face. Please keep sharing the campaign as we still have 13 days to get closer to our target. Thanks to everyone who has continued to share the campaign and support us. Thankyou.

Update #10

Check out banjo in his walker. Over the next month we will be borrowing and trialing the kid walker and giving banjo the opportunity to walk with us all. His face lights up as soon as he is placed in it. Thanks again for all your support please keep sharing and let's se if we can get to 100 contributors by the end of today. We need 2 more people. Thank you.

Looking good Banjo, enjoying seeing your progress... reach for the sky little man!!

Update #9

Banjo got to test drive the kid walker again at the Therapy centre yesterday. To everyone's surprise he was able to get it to move on his own. The excited look on his face was priceless and he didn't stop squealing with excitement. We now have 97 contributions which is amazing and a huge thank you to everyone. Banjo is very determined and with all of your help hopefully one day banjo will walk with us all. Please keep sharing the campaign so we can reach 100 contributors by the end of the week.

Update #8

Today banjo had an appointment with his Gastro doctor who looks after his stomach peg/mickey. Banjos eating skills have taken off this year after lots of hard work and since he has had lots of weight gain we are discussing removing the mickey button. Banjo is such a superstar surprising us all because they assumed he would need his mickey for life. Proved them wrong again. Go Banjo. Thank you also to all those that have contributed and shared the campaign. We are blown away with all the support.

Update #6

Wow we are now 10% funded with $5500 contributed so far. What an amazing week it has been and everyone's support and kind messages gives me so much hope for banjos future. We got to trial a kid walker today which banjo loved. He actually took 2 steps in a row and got super excited, we were so proud. It's so nice to see banjo standing up face to face and being able to see his cheeky smile and eyes instead of holding him. Please continue to share our campaign far and wide. Thank you once again
